Add a factory-look rear view to your X3 with our OEM Integrated Backup Camera System.
Compatible with all OEM factory screens (6.5" to 10.25") in the 2006-2020 BMW X3 / X3M, with or without navigation, across CCC, CIC, NBT, and EVO Command Systems. The video interface connects through a simple plug-in connection and displays the camera image on your factory screen automatically whenever reverse is engaged.
The same module also accepts a front camera and a 3rd DVR input, and it will not disable any OEM factory functions or steering wheel controls.

The X3's camera solution spans every iDrive generation the model has carried, from CCC through EVO. This kit covers 2006-2020 BMW X3 and X3M models, with or without navigation, integrating a high definition rear camera into the factory iDrive screen. Front camera and third DVR inputs ride along in the same module, and the plug-in installation leaves every OEM cable uncut and unspliced.
Choosing the CarPlay and Android Auto option puts your favorite apps on the original iDrive display in the X3.
An X3 spends its life in parking lots and school pickups, and a factory-integrated camera earns its keep there every single day. The image reaches your original screen through a module wired into the harnesses BMW already routed behind the dash, so nothing in the cabin looks aftermarket.
There is no dealer activation or coding step before first use, and the hardware is warrantied for a full year.
Cars with park distance control get a combined picture-in-picture view of sensors and camera, no matter which of the camera styles below you choose.
Standard Flush Mount Camera - perfect for mounting on the lip above the license plate. It has over 170 degree view of the area behind you and works great in low light.
Adjustable Lens Camera - provides a little more flexibility with the exact angle of its view. This camera is for those who want to mount it their camera in a location other than near the license plate, such as on the spoiler or bumper. It's also recommended if your vehicle is lowered or raised.
Tailgate Handle Camera - gives your vehicle the OEM look. These replace the current handle on the trunk of your vehicle to include the camera as part of the handle itself.
A front camera input rounds out the module, displaying automatically when the X3 leaves reverse and clearing once fifteen seconds go by.
Connections happen wirelessly over Bluetooth, or by the USB cord included in the kit.
Everyday controls stay factory, the OEM buttons handle music, volume, and Siri or Google Assistant requests inside CarPlay, and both iOS and Android phones work.

Support runs from 2006 through 2020 and spans all four iDrive command systems: CCC (typically 2004-2008 builds), CIC (typically 2009-2012), NBT (typically 2013 to early 2017), and EVO (mid-2017 and newer). The camera module ships matched to your command system rather than your model year, so the order form asks which system your X3 carries. Not sure?
