This OEM Integrated BMW Rear-View Backup Camera kit fits all 2006-2020 BMW 3-Series / M3 models with or without navigation. The comprehensive Multimedia Video Interface integrates through a simple plug-in connection to enable the viewing of external video sources such as Backup Camera (provided in kit), front camera and a 3rd DVR input.
You can now upgrade your module to support CarPlay for 2006-2020 BMW 3-Series that are equipped with CIC, NBT or EVO systems. This comprehensive video interface module will integrate all the features of Apple CarPlay / Android Auto onto your existing BMW NBT command system. Once installed, the system is ready for use without any dealer activation or coding required and DOES NOT require any cutting or splicing of OEM cables.
Few BMWs cover as much technological ground as the 3-Series does across this kit's 2006-2020 span, four different iDrive command systems, one camera solution. The interface connects to the factory display in any 2006-2020 BMW 3-Series or M3, with or without navigation, and shows a high definition reverse image automatically. It also accepts a front camera plus a third DVR source, all through plug-in connections that leave the OEM wiring completely intact.
Adding the CarPlay/Android Auto upgrade puts your favorite apps directly on the original 3-Series radio and screen through the same interface module.
E90 and F30 owners tend to keep these cars for a long time, and this kit lets an older 3-Series gain a modern reversing view without disturbing a stock interior. Nothing is replaced, the module rides behind your original display and uses the radio's own harnesses.

Choose the flush mount camera for the license plate area or the adjustable lens if your car sits lower than stock. Whichever camera you pick, it will work with your car's PDC (Parking Distance Control) for a picture-in-picture view of both the rear image and the sensors where applicable.
Standard Flush Mount Camera - perfect for mounting on the lip above the license plate. It has over 170 degree view of the area behind you and works great in low light.
Adjustable Lens Camera - provides a little more flexibility with the exact angle of its view. This camera is for those who want to mount it their camera in a location other than near the license plate, such as on the spoiler or bumper. It's also recommended if your vehicle is lowered or raised.
Tailgate Handle Camera - gives your vehicle the OEM look. These replace the current handle on the trunk of your vehicle to include the camera as part of the handle itself.
This kit's module also takes a front camera feed, shown automatically once you leave reverse and dismissed when fifteen seconds elapse.
Wireless pairing runs over Bluetooth, and a USB cord comes in the box if you would rather plug in.
Your 3-Series controls stay in charge, the iDrive buttons handle track changes, volume, and voice assistants such as Siri and Google Assistant, and both iOS and Android devices are fully supported.
** Both kits come with a the flush mount backup camera by default. If you do not want or do not need a backup camera, choose "none" in the camera option section below. Price will adjust accordingly.**
The supported range opens at 2006 for a specific reason, that is the model year the E90 generation brought CCC iDrive to the 3-Series, while earlier E46 cars used the MK4 navigation unit this interface cannot address. From 2006 through 2020, coverage takes in all four generations of the classic iDrive command system, CCC, CIC, NBT, and EVO, and the one in a given car is set by its build rather than by a neat year cutoff. Each system needs different wiring, so the order form asks which one your sedan, coupe, or wagon carries. When in doubt, a photo of your running screen settles the question before you buy.
