This OEM Integrated BMW Rear-View Backup Camera kit fits all 2014-2020 BMW 4-Series / M4 models with or without navigation. The comprehensive Multimedia Video Interface integrates through a simple plug-in connection to enable the viewing of external video sources such as Backup Camera (provided in kit), front camera and a 3rd DVR input.
You can now upgrade your module to support CarPlay for 2014-2020 BMW 4-Series models. This comprehensive video interface module will integrate all the features of Apple CarPlay / Android Auto onto your existing BMW NBT command system. Once installed, the system is ready for use without any dealer activation or coding required and DOES NOT require any cutting or splicing of OEM cables.
When BMW split its coupes into the 4-Series line for 2014, it kept the same display architecture as the sedans, so the retrofit path stays refreshingly simple. This kit equips any 2014-2020 BMW 4-Series or M4, with or without factory navigation, with a high definition backup camera that renders on the original screen. The interface module also carries inputs for a front camera and a third DVR feed, and installation involves no cutting or splicing of OEM cables.
Order the Apple CarPlay and Android Auto option and the same interface module carries your favorite apps onto the factory 4-Series screen.
Bought for its lines, a 4-Series would be undone by a suction-cup monitor hanging in the cabin. This interface hides completely, connecting to the back of the OEM screen through the harnesses already routed in the dash.

Coupe and Gran Coupe trunk lids pair well with the flush mount camera, which delivers a 170 degree wide angle view and integrates with the car's PDC (Parking Distance Control) to give a picture-in-picture display where fitted.
The adjustable-lens version suits cars on lowered suspension, or any install where the camera needs to sit somewhere other than the plate area, like the spoiler or bumper.
A front camera input is built into the module too, appearing the moment you shift out of reverse and stepping away after fifteen seconds.
Bluetooth handles the wireless phone connection, with a USB cord provided for wired use.
CarPlay runs from the buttons BMW gave the car, covering song selection, volume, and Siri or Google Assistant voice commands, and it supports iOS and Android devices equally.

Every supported 4-Series and M4, from 2014 through 2020, runs one of two command systems, NBT or EVO. Coupes, convertibles, Gran Coupes, and the M4 all draw from that same pair, so body style tells you nothing about which unit you have, the production date of your specific car decides it. Checkout therefore asks you to choose between NBT and EVO so the correct wiring ships the first time. The CarPlay and Android Auto upgrade can be added to 2014-2020 4-Series models on either unit. Since the two screens look similar at a glance, a phone photo of the running display is the surest way to confirm your system ahead of purchase.
