Upgrade your current OEM Screen with our Wireless BMW X5 CarPlay / Android Auto System. No BMW SUV we support covers a longer stretch than the X5: fourteen model years, 2007-2020, from E70 workhorses to the final 2020 cars. One wireless module family serves them all, mounting invisibly behind the factory screen and drawing signal from harnesses that are already in place. The result is Apple CarPlay and Android Auto on the display your X5 shipped with, delivered wirelessly from your phone and controlled through the same iDrive knob you use today.

Hidden out of sight behind the factory display, the module connects through the plugs BMW already installed, so the original screen and every original feature stay put.
Towing, carpooling, winter trips: an X5 sees all of it, and this retrofit is built to disappear into that routine. The phone pairs wirelessly every time you start the car, so navigation is on screen before the garage door closes, while the included USB cable handles charging when the drive runs long.
Factory buttons keep their jobs, running volume, tracks, and Siri or Google Assistant.
For older X5s without a factory camera, the optional flush mount unit adds a wide-angle rear view that integrates picture-in-picture with PDC where fitted. The adjustable-lens camera handles spoiler or bumper mounting, and a front camera input is supported with an automatic 15 second timeout.
Because the supported window opens in 2007, the X5 is one of the few SUVs in our catalog that still includes CCC-equipped examples, and its full system set spans all four of the generations we cover: CCC, CIC, NBT, and EVO. Each uses entirely different screen connections despite living in the same body style, so the module you receive is configured for your command system, not your model year. Which of the four your X5 carries comes down to how it was built, and no badge or calendar shortcut settles that reliably.
