The 2014-2020 span covered by this kit reaches from the late W212, with its screen framed in the dash, into the W213 era of wide, high-resolution displays. One wireless CarPlay and Android Auto interface covers the range by connecting behind whatever factory screen your car came with. Installation needs no dealer activation and no coding, and every original function of your COMAND system stays intact alongside the new apps.
E-Class hardware turned over quickly in this era, but the years covered here sort out cleanly. Cars from 2014 through 2018, late W212 and W213 alike, run the NTG 5 family, which our order form lists as NTG 5.0 or 5.1. For 2019 and 2020 cars, confirm your system with us before ordering, a quick note with your VIN or a picture of your display is all it takes. Each selection changes the harness we pack, because the video connections differ between generations. If your screen's menus do not look like the reference images on this page, send us a photo before you order and we will confirm the correct configuration.
An E-Class of this era already has one of the best screens Mercedes ever installed, especially the W213 with its broad panel, and this kit puts live navigation, messaging, and music apps on it instead of forcing you into a smaller aftermarket unit. Wireless pairing means your phone stays in your pocket on every commute, while the included USB path covers charging on longer drives.
Control stays where Mercedes put it. Your existing buttons select apps, change songs, and raise or lower volume, and they trigger Siri or Google Assistant depending on the phone you carry. Because the module works through existing harnesses, a leased or certified pre-owned car can be returned to stock in minutes.
Backup camera options are available with this kit as well. The flush mount camera fits on the lip above the license plate, covers a 170 degree field behind the car, and keeps a clear picture after dark.
Owners who want a different mounting point, such as the trunk lid spoiler or bumper, can pick the adjustable lens camera and set its angle to suit the car's stance.
There is a front camera input too; shifting out of reverse brings it up automatically and the view times out at the fifteen second mark.
