This OEM Integrated BMW Rear-View Backup Camera kit fits all 2009-2020 BMW X1/ X1M models that are equipped with the CIC,NBT, or EVO command systems. The comprehensive Multimedia Video Interface integrates through a simple plug-in connection to enable the viewing of external video sources such as Backup Camera (provided in kit), front camera and a 3rd DVR input.
You can now upgrade your module to support CarPlay for 2009-2020 BMW X1 /X1M models that are equipped with CIC system. This comprehensive video interface module will integrate all the features of Apple CarPlay / Android Auto onto your existing BMW NBT command system. Once installed, the system is ready for use without any dealer activation or coding required and DOES NOT require any cutting or splicing of OEM cables.
BMW's smallest crossover went through a complete platform change inside this kit's coverage window, and the camera solution spans both eras. Any 2009-2020 BMW X1 or X1M equipped with the CIC, NBT, or EVO command system can take this integrated backup camera, which displays automatically on the factory screen when reverse is selected. The module adds front camera and third DVR inputs as well, all connected without cutting or splicing any factory wiring.

On a compact crossover the rear hatch sits high and the glass is small, which is exactly the situation a 170 degree wide angle camera fixes. The flush mount unit tucks above the license plate on the tailgate, and cars with PDC (Parking Distance Control) get sensors and camera together in a picture-in-picture view.
Choose the adjustable lens if you want a different mounting spot, such as the spoiler or bumper, or if your X1 rides above or below stock height.
Front coverage is available too, the module's front camera input shows on its own once reverse is released and steps aside when fifteen seconds run out.
Pairing is wireless through Bluetooth, and the provided USB cord covers wired connections.
The X1's factory buttons keep control of CarPlay, from song selection and volume to Siri or Google Assistant voice commands, with iOS and Android supported in full.
*CarPlay and Android Auto can join the order on any of the three supported systems, just confirm your unit first.
** Both kits come with a the flush mount backup camera by default. If you do not want or do not need a backup camera, choose "none" in the camera option section below. Price will adjust accordingly.**
Every X1 and X1M this kit supports, across the full 2009-2020 range, runs one of three command systems: CIC, NBT, or EVO. The system in your car follows its production date rather than a single clean model-year line, so the year on the registration is not a reliable guide on its own. Look at the screen and controller in the car, and if the generation is not obvious from there, send us a quick photo of the powered-on display and we will identify it for you. The order form asks for your command system so the matching harness is packed with your camera.
