Frequently Asked Questions

Find answers to common questions about OEM integrated backup cameras, wireless CarPlay & Android Auto systems, installation, shipping, and warranties. Can't find what you're looking for? Contact our support team.

Product Compatibility & Features

Will this work with my vehicle?

Our products are designed for specific vehicle makes, models, and model years. Check the product page for the full compatibility list, or contact us with your vehicle details and we'll confirm fitment.

What's the difference between OEM integrated and aftermarket systems?

OEM integrated systems connect to your factory head unit and display, using the original screen and controls — no aftermarket receiver required. Aftermarket systems replace the head unit or add a separate monitor. OEM integration preserves the factory look and functionality.

Does wireless CarPlay require pairing every time I get in the car?

No. Once your iPhone is paired with the system, it connects automatically via Wi-Fi and Bluetooth whenever you start the vehicle. Android Auto works the same way.

Do I need to cut any wires during installation?

No. Our systems use plug-and-play harnesses that tap into existing factory connectors. No wire cutting, splicing, or soldering is required for supported vehicles.

Installation

Can I install this myself?

Most customers with basic automotive experience can complete installation in 30 to 90 minutes. Every product includes detailed step-by-step instructions. For complex installs, we recommend a professional installer.

What tools do I need?

Typically a plastic trim removal tool, a Phillips screwdriver, and a socket wrench set. Specific tool requirements are listed in each product's installation guide.

Will installing this void my vehicle warranty?

Under the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act, installing aftermarket parts does not void your entire vehicle warranty. A dealer can only deny warranty coverage on parts directly affected by the aftermarket installation, and must prove the aftermarket part caused the failure. Contact us for more information specific to your vehicle.

Do I need to program or activate anything after install?

Some vehicles (particularly Jeep, Dodge, Chrysler, and RAM) require an OBD-II activation step to enable the factory camera input. The product page will tell you if a programmer is needed, and you can find compatible tools in our OBD-II Programmers category.

Support & Troubleshooting

How do I contact technical support?

Reach us by email or through the form on our contact page. Technical support is free for all customers, even after your warranty period ends.

My screen is blank after installation — what's wrong?

First, verify all connectors are fully seated and the vehicle is in the correct ignition position (typically ACC or RUN). Check that the plug-and-play harness is connected in both directions. If the issue persists, contact tech support with photos of your installation and we'll walk you through further troubleshooting.
